Clover hand quilting needles
Has anyone used these? I googled and saw prices from $3/pkg to $33/pkg. Does anyone know what the difference is?

i have never used them, so can't help you. I do think needles are something you need to "try out" and decide. I used to use John James needles and while I do like them, I came across a brand cld Jeana Kimball's Foxglove Cottage. They are a between/quilting needle. I found them at a local quilt store. The shank of the needle is "thicker"/"heavier" - something, the seem to be sturdier and don't break as easily as others that I have used.

Clover has MANY styles of hand quilting needles that may be what the cost difference reflects.
I particularly like the gold tipped ones, for instance, as they are easier for my eyes to see to thread. Jan in VA |
I've mentioned this somewhere else on this board, which I cannot remember where exactly, but I absolutely love love love Clovers "Black Gold" No.10 quilting needles. The ones I buy come in a 6 needle per pack package and cost about $5.00 to $6.00 per pack.
I don't know which ones would cost $33.00. Maybe a case of them? Steve |
I to have used the clover #10 quilting needles. I will buy them again.

I've not been happy with the clover needles I've tried in the past. Don't remember specifically which type they were though. My favorite is Roxanne betweens either #11 or #12.
