Tippys mom - I would be equally puzzled. Not many clues there for what is wanted!

I have no clue as to how they were chosen ... and was totally mystified for sometime after I got it as to what I was going to do. I definitely did not want to chop up the veggie fabric and "lose" it.

They seemed odd when thinking of friendship, but then when you put that with the friendships that grow at the fair ... it all makes sense for the veggies that grow IRL, then are shown at the fair, along with the friendships that grow!

They 3 fabrics really do work together ...
The galaxy fabric has the plum that's in the veggies.
And the yellow of course goes with the two of them.
I have more problems with some of the added in fabrics as to their "match" with the starter fabrics.

Will truly be interesting to see what the end result is when they are put together into a quilt/cushions for the raffle. I hope they keep it as a fun thing ... perhaps a lap quilt, wall hangings etc. I don't think many of us would want a bed quilt with veggies! :D:D:D:D

Once again, we are reading this sooooooooooo many ways. I though it simply meant a pieced block,

It says make a "house" block out of the fabric. To me, that means you can cut it up and use it in a house block. One example: http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof...use_quilt.html. You could your fabric as the background or the house itself. You don't have to paper piece as this About.com pattern shows.

As PaperPrincess said, you can also call someone in the guild to find out more specifics. Also, what size are the other blocks you are making? Is 16 x 16 the size of the blocks, or just the size of the piece of fabric they gave you? Did they give any general guidelines out when they started what sounds like a Block of the Month (BOM)? Does your guild have a website where they post information like this?

No one is going to shoot you for requesting more information. I asked a zillion questions the first time I participated in a bee block exchange in my guild. Also, I've seen some very interesting results (not necessarily good ones) when people didn't ask. :D
