Color Catchers
Hi...Just wondering if you can re-use Color Catchers if they came out of the washer with no color on them??
I am not trying to be cheap...just thrifty :) I just didn't know if they can be reused or not. I would hate to reuse them and they didn't "catch" the color on the next quilt. Or could I put one new and one used in the washer? Thanks everyone for your input/help. Vi |
I reuse mine. They still pick up "dyes."

I re-use them several times or until they pick up some color. Most times I will put in 1 new one and 1 used one, or I will re-use them when I do laundry.

I do it all the time. Go for it.

I'm not sure which ones you are using but I have been "thrifty" not cheap :p and cut them in half for baby sized quilts.

Thanks everyone for your help :)
Thrifty I like! Thanks thimblebug6000...I never thought to cut them in half for baby sized quilts. Hope everyone has a good week! |
I have never done that, I will have to give it a try.

I'm with Katier825 I always put anew one in. If it has a lot of red , navy and black I make sur ewith 2 more. Going to add green to this as just had trouble with a green batic spoiling a quilt.

I reuse them too. And I never cut in half. lol. Sometimes I use two color catchers though.
