Keep using them until no color appears on the catcher. Rather safe then sorry, especially if a lot of red is used in the quilt. It's heartbreaking to see colors bleed or run after you've invest so much time, love an $$ into a quilt. I often gift a package of the color catchers when I give away a quilt with vivid colors.

Great idea!

Very Interesting. So does this take the place of the sheets?

I tested the detergent by putting a known bleeding red fabric and a piece of white muslin in the wash with some colored towels. No color on the muslin. I imagine a color catcher sheet used with the detergent would insure a quilt will not be ruined by bleeding fabric.

What a neat idea to gift a box with each quilt gifted.

Thank you

I hope you also include a disclaimer saying you won't be responsible if the color catcher gets caught up in the washers pump and you have to have a tech to come out and clean it out. This has happened, I found out about two weeks after I read about it on this board. I had only used a few in a yr and it had been quite sometime since I used on but it got stuck. The repair tech showed me filter basket and thier it was.
