Suggestions please?! I am really color challenged. Does this look pleasing or should I change something around? Thanks!!!

Bobbielinks 12-07-2018 08:56 AM

I like it just like it is. The colors seem to flow together very nicely.

Looks great.
One way to tell if the value is off is to take a black and white picture. If you've got way too much of one value in one spot it will really show up.

Looks very nice the way you have it. I think you have your darks and lights all scattered and balanced out. Beautiful fabrics.

Looks super! I love the way you have spread out the colors. Gives a tropical punch feel!

OK, the only change I would make is in the second row from the bottom third block in from the left side. There are several "dark's" that are touching. If you swapped out that third block with one of the lighter block perhaps, block 5 or 6 in the same row, you would continue the beautiful randomness of the dark color of your quilt. I was just looking to keep the light/dark scattered over the whole piece. Sure do like you colors over all and this is a good patter to play with color. Enjoy.

maviskw 12-08-2018 05:53 AM

A beautiful quilt. I think the yellow and the darker blue are the ones that "stick out". So keep an eye on them so that they are pleasing to you. I think I would do as WMUTeach said and move one of those blues to a lighter spot. What a great idea. Love it.

luvstoquilt 12-08-2018 07:36 AM

I really like it the way you have it laid out!

Looks great to me. I like the scrappy look.

audsgirl 12-08-2018 10:44 PM

I think it looks very nice. You have spread the colors around well. I would keep everything as is. It will be a lovely quilt.

I, too, would change that arrangement in the lower left where the 2 blues butt together. Otherwise, a great distribution of your blocks.

Friday1961 12-09-2018 08:53 PM

Looks good! Your darker blues and yellows and corals are scattered in a way that creates a nice balance. I'd start sewing them together !

Darcyshannon 12-11-2018 02:07 AM

Looks nice. I did notice you have two blocks with bright yellow touching.
