I quilt mostly from my stash, and I don't see much orchid in there.
|
In bits and pieces possibly, but not my kind of color.
|
I love the color!
|
Since it is in the "purple" family yeah more than likely I will
buy something in that color. |
<Didn't that used to be called Communism?>
No, actually consumerism. Drive the public to NEED to buy by creating that need. --The new color is radiant orchid? I must go buy a new kitchen aid mixer to go with my fabulous radiant orchid kitchen towels, for my emerald green one is too passe.-- The color of the year may not dictate everything, but a huge number of the choices you have in shopping for clothing, makeup, housewares, cars, paint -- all key off of the color predictions and pronouncements. I'm going to use this year's color as an argument for maintaining a good stash of colors that I actually like. Because we all need a healthy collection of reasons to buy more fabric. |

Message 15 is responding to message 6 -- I guess I didn't use the quote feature correctly. I get confused between online crafting boards ; )

Ok, i'm going to ask a stupid question: is it the background or the flower color? One seems a bit more strident than the other.

If it's the background it's a nice shade of lavender.
RST: Great explanation on how that works. Another form of planned obsolescence to drive sales by creating a phony "need". Rodney |
Compared to some of the "colors of the year" this one's not so bad
