try "coloring pages" on google. I have found some real simple but cute outlines of old cartoon characters. You can print them, use a transfer pencil, or just cut out. Also enlarge or reduce on printer. good luck

You can also do a search for stained glass patterns. They usually have fairly simple designs that would translate well to applique.

When I looked for "easy" coloring books recently, I didn't see any that were like that. I found "Barbie," and some other character ones with many lines on the page - and the "lesson" type things for elementary grades. Where should I be looking? |
Have you tried the thrift stores and garage sales i have lots of coloring books i got fromT.S. goodwill and the web not too much luck at estate sale.

I've found several at Cracker Barrel resturants and some in book stores in the crafts section.

I recently was looking for a "tree" for a small applique quilt and the pictures I took with my camera were too complicated. I googled "tree coloring book pages" and many free sites came up. My tree turned out perfectly. The coloring books out today are not the same as they were years ago and much too expensive. This is the way to go. Good luck !

Ben Franklin still has the old time coloring books. I bought about eight of them last year. Flowers, people, houses, etc.

I have found a bunch of clipart free that work great. Just google free clipart.

I know exactly what you mean. I have been looking for coloring books with large very simple animals. They are very hard to find. They all seem to be related to a TV show or movie or comic book.
