I'm currently piecing one with purple, baby blue, green, navy, and a fabric that has most of those colors...it's a trip around the world quilt.

One project I'm working on is a quilt for a coworker just diagnosed with breast cancer and is a varied, pink, white and beige D9P. I'm making two baby quilts using orange, purple, green, yellow and white in a pinwheel pattern and I'm taking a quilting class doing a sampler of black, gold, red, green (was supposed to be a wall hanging, but I'm adding extra squares to make it a lap quilt).

i laid out a wallhanging made frm the 9 purple fat quarters my oldest friend gave me for my birthday.. it consists of 2 1/2" hourglass squares of the purples & muslin. bordered by 1" dark purple border, with a 3" outer border of purple batik.

it will go up in my office to hide this ugly red breaker box that is right above my desk... hope to finish piecing it & get it quilted & bound over the weekend. wish me luck.

Too many colors to list. To say "every color under the rainbow" would be a complete understatement.

WI SANDY 02-24-2011 09:48 PM

patriotic colors for my pinwheel project

fireworkslover 02-25-2011 06:43 AM

Mostly greens right now and a bit of off white/cream. I'm doing a challenge quilt for our upcoming quilt show in Oct. We had to pick a flower name out of a pail and make a quilt depicting some aspect of that flower. I picked Lily of the Valley - therefore green and off white.

Jeanniebelle 02-25-2011 09:49 AM

I am currently working on the Pinwheel project listed here on QB. I am making my quilt top in several colors and patters so it looks scrappy. Jeanniebelle

Purples. I found some lilac prints and am making a Yellow Brick Road quilt for my mother. 65 years ago my dad surprised her on their wedding day with a church filled with lilacs that he had picked in his backyard. Lilacs have been her favorite flower ever since. Dad passed away 3 years ago. I'm hoping to have it done by what would have been their anniversary day.

tdgiffin 02-25-2011 09:54 AM

Lots of pink!

maggiemuggins 02-25-2011 11:57 AM

Blue and white and yellow

janb 02-25-2011 01:11 PM

Current quilt top is navy, yellow and a light blue flower print. It is a windmill pattern and I have loved sewing it together. the sashing is the yellow with a navy square between sashing strips.

Happy Linda 02-25-2011 03:14 PM

My grand daughter is getting married and I asked her what her colors were in her bedroom. Black and white, so that was it. I put pink hearts in the middle.

VaNella 02-25-2011 03:14 PM

Reds for apple core and blues and greens for dwr.

Butterflyblue 02-25-2011 03:30 PM

One project has EVERYTHING. It's a scrap sampler, and has pastels, black, brights, red, blue, country prints, everything.

One is a baby quilt with pink, purple, yellow, turquoise, green, etc.

Another is a memory quilt of men's shirts, so it is mostly blues, dark blue, and other dark colors.

I am using different shades of red for the red Herring quilt I am making.

Mine is 3 different blues, a green for leaves and cream on a white tone on tone background. It is my version of the Baltimore Bliss Quilt. The patterns were free from fatcat patterns.

sblancarte 02-28-2011 03:10 PM

WOW- I'm blown away with how many projects everyone is working on simultaneously. I can plan for more than one quilt at a time but only sew one at time( except for the binding) I'm doing a blue and white Stormy weather for my sons' in laws; just finished a black and white music quilt with a 3 inch border of red music fabric for my son & DIL.
