Sorry - I tried to do a search b/c I'm sure I've seen this topic before but I couldn't find it and I can't remember the answer. I have various fabrics that I want to use in a quilt and some of it is washed (before I knew I didn't need to wash my fabric first) but most of it is not washed. Would you wash the unwashed fabric (UGH!) or take your chances? I'm not making any award winning quilts or anything and I'm not terribly worried about perfection, but I don't want it pulling apart with shrinkage issues in certain areas.

Thanks!

I would just combine them. If you are concerned, make sure the quilting lines are close together. Quilting will keep everything from shrinking or distorting.

i have found that a misting of water and/or the steam iron will shrink the fabric. i do this before cutting since i've have the same situation, some washed some not

Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. :)
