Comfort quilt suggestion needed

I would appreciate suggestions for a comfort quilt for my son-in-law. He is only 46 and is facing a chemo battle following his recent diagnosis of colon cancer and surgery. I would like to make something special and am looking for a pattern suggestion that can be completed somewhat quickly.
Thanks!

One of the BQ designs by Maple Hill? My prayers are with your family -- DH and I are both cancer survivors.

I would suggest a flannel back or something similar that is really soft. I been in infusion rooms and many people there are covered up.

On second thought, why not a flannel quilt? This one is on my wish list. https://www.quiltingcompany.com/stor...igital-pattern

Thanks. I found one I like, but can't locate a site to purchase the pattern (yet): A Day at the Spa, designed by Carolyn S. Vagts.

Here it is and it's on sale! https://www.e-patternscentral.com/de...day+at+the+spa

If you have problems with the link, just go to e-patterncentral.com and search for a day at the spa.

bkay - Thanks. It's amazing how different that looks from the one I saw online. Color choices vary the look of patterns dramatically. Here is the one that caught my eye:

This is the block as I see it in EQ7. Open the pdf file to see it and the cutting sizes of each part of the block. It finishes at 12 inches. The black sashing strips and the black strips in the blocks are all 3/4" finished. Sometimes in the pattern, they move the placement of the longer piece to the other side in the block.

The borders to get close to the designed pattern are
First black sash border is 3/4"
Second colored border is 1"
Third black border is 2"
Fourth colored border is 1"
Final black border is 3"
Binding 1/2"
Total finished size in EQ7 is 66.75" x 79.5" for a 4 x 5 block layout.

Thanks, Barb! I'm not sure what EQ7 is, but I'm sure I love it. : )
