My virus protection hasn't mentioned anything, but the last few days, have had a lot of notices of responses to threads.....so old I don't remember them. The recipe thread being one of them, others are for quilt pics from mos & mos ago.I've stopped clicking on them.

My son, the IT says the same thing. Just don't open it! Then you get the virus! Side with caution!!! Edie

I have had problems in the past so make sure all your protection is up to date and active! I don't know how it happens, but it sure is a headache when it does.

No problems coming from Minnesota. I have Webroot on my laptop.

I believe your problem is you virus protections....you can't have 2 on your computer. They all advise only one loaded on at any one time or you will have problems with your computer. Try deleting one and see what happens.

Last few days I have found the board to be "acting funny" in my opinion.....then last night on my laptop, my virus protection advised that quilting board was not secure.....today I am able to view the board (at work) but I am not able to pull up websites to view fabric....so something is up! I have 2 different virus protections so something is definately wrong somewhere....for the two to notify me...

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Sometimes messages come through like that when the problem actually resides in the browser system (Internet explorer, firefox, etc.). And that "problem" may be nothing more than an update(Windows typically does auto updates on Wednesdays) for which the virus protection hasn't yet updated, so a conflict sets up.

I'd try doing a manual update on your virus protection. Also, go ahead and do a manual update on your Windows, just to be sure. That'll probably take care of it.

Of course, as someone said above, never have two virus protections installed and active at the same time. They simply do not play well together.

Hope this helps.
