Has anyone here used the cone (bulk) thread from Connecting Threads website? Is it high quality? Need bulk thread and something that doesn't create so much lint in my my sewing machine. Suggestions?

Yes, I've used it and like it very much. It's certainly priced competitively!

My husband made me a cool thread holder like the one at the bottom of this page -- http://www.speerhammocks.com/Products/Supplies.htm. It may not be fancy, but it works!

Thank you for your quick replies. I needed info quickly. My daughter asked me what I would like for Mothers Day. I told her not to get me anything. She said she was GETTING ME SOMETHING, so I could choose or be surprised. I would really like to try the cone thread--that would be a great gift and inexpensive, too. Best of both worlds. Thanks again!

I use the thread for both piecing and on the quilter. It does create some lint but I clean bother machines all the time so it doesn't bother me.

That is all I have ever used, never had any trouble with it. Use it for hand quilting also. Won't use anything else.

I use it and haven't had any problems at all. My machine was in for a check up and no big lint problem. I clean the bobbin area with each new bobbin and my machine treads on the outside so no big lint build up inside. I think if I want to use cotton thread then I will have lint, can't help but have some. For the price it is the best thread for me.

I think I could made that thread holder. Major accomplishment for me. And I really love the essential thread from Connecting Threads. The cones would be a real money saver.
