Well, you all have finally corrupted me!! I have been on this site for months and have thus far been able to resist all the temptations yoy have thrown at me. Until tonight that is!! I was bored, a bit down and needed some retail therapy. I figured it wouldn't hurt to look and see what everyone was talking about so I went to the site. Big mistake!! I immediately fell in love with the "Sip of Summer" collection! I had to order the fq sampler because I couldn't decide which ones I liked best. I want to make a Turning 20 in the future and think these would be perfect!! I also bought a tablerunner kit and a spool of thread. I wanted to buy more thread, but thought I'd try it first and see what I thought of it. Can't beat the price...so might as well. I've also been looking at some stuff on e-bay, but they have a day or two left on them. I already have one kit I purchased the other day, plus all my other WIP's, so this will just add to the pile. I do feel better though..now I just have to tell my dh!! He'll just smile and nod and go clean his guns!!

i ordered "Just Ducky",in browns,last night.. and because i wanted free shipping, i ordered 2 yards of fabric in the clearance section for the backing, a pattern i liked..and you know the drill!
they do have loads of free patterns too..english piecing,regualr quilt patterns, and sewing patterns. I have never been unhappy with anything i hvae gotten from them..

Connecting Threads is really addictive. When I first started quilting about 15 yrs ago this was my favorite place. I really got great deals on books and tools there. This is where I purchased most of my stuff from.

OOHHH...I just loved the "Just Ducky" pattern!! I wanted that one and a few others but I had to restrain myself....for now. When taxes come back, there will be a huge jump in the local LQS economy!! I'm even considering a new machine. I might have to give dh CPR if I do. We'll see what happens. When I get my order, I'll post for all to see!

I just saw the new fabric called After Hours. I love it. I'm so tempted... but I can't buy anything right now. I just purchased a bunch of fabrics from Hancock of Purducah.

Yes, CT has gotten a lot of my $$$$ as well. :D I really LOVE their threads. I have every color they sell! And large cones, too! I'm a thread-aholic of theirs, LOL! Have also bought a lot of their quilt kits.

oh yeah me too!! I gotm y first small package last week and already the new catalog came and there is more I want!! the problem here is that DH was going to order stuff for me on his own!! that is dangerous because I try, TRY, not to spend too much and he just wants to buy it all for me,LOL

Connecting Threads is awesome! Not only is their fabric beautiful and high quality, its made here in the USA! They also have good book sales throughout the year, often 40-50% off original cost. I have purchased fabric from clearance specials and have paid excellent prices.

I am expecting delivery of my first order from CT tomorrow. I skimped a little bit on what I bought so I could get 2nd day delivery as I didn't want to wait to long for it to arrive. I too fell in love with the After Hours theme and can't wait to afford it. I got the Sip of Summer and Cheep Talk jelly rolls and one of their hand dyed fat quarter samplers. Am really anxious for them to arrive. The picture showed them VERY close in colors so can't wait to really see them and see how easy it will be to tell them apart. Might make an Arough The World Trip blanket out of them. I hope their stuff is as good as everybody says it is. Ask me again tomorrow night and I'll tell you.

I too am anxiously awaiting my first fabric order from CT!! I love their thread and I am hoping that I will be as happy with their fabric, I think I will, since they come so highly recommended from many on this board.

I have been ordering every week! It is a terrible addiction!

I forgot to post that my CT order arrived and I am VERY happy with it. Can't wait to order another. The fat quarter is to close to do an ATATW blanket but I came up with something different. Laid all 12 of them out on my king size bed and with a border about 2 or 3 inches around each block it is big enough for a king size quilt with the FQs uncut. Will be sure and post pictures when done. I am going to use a dark mottled blue.

I keep items in my order basket all the time. When it gets full I push check out! I bought the After Hours quilt kit and it's beautiful! The reds are perfect.
