Connecting Threads rave!

earlier I posted on here that I had a problem with the quilt kit from connecting threads. I didn't have enough fabric to finish cutting all my strips. Well I called connecting threads and they are sending me out 5 fat quarters to complete my kit. I just wanted to make sure I posted to tell everyone how nice and gracious they were and didn't give me any problem about sending me extra fabric. I know a lot of times I will post negative comments and not go back and post the positive one so I wanted to make sure that I posted a rave to brag on how great their customer service was and I won't be afraid order from them again.

It is good of you to let us know the postitive comments from stores where we shop.

I've also been very impressed by the customer service at CT.

That is so good to know!! I've bought a lot of fabrics from them (and always been happy). I may try a kit one fo these day. Their fabrics are so pretty!!

I have shopped almost monthly with CT for the past two years or so. Have never been disappointed. One time they had shipped me two batts instead of one. Called Customer Services and asked them if they wanted to issue a call tag. They said it wouldn't be necessary, consider it complimentary and just enjoy it. Right after the holidays I placed an order. Long story short, they processed and sent it out timely. The package just kept traveling from one end of PA and NY to another without delivery. After 15 days, I called Customer Services with my frustration. They immediately sent out a replacement order to me without cost. What had been sold out since my original order, they credited back to my credit card. The original order did finally show. I called them and told them so, and that they needed to charge back the 3 yards to my credit card. They said to enjoy it with their compliments because of the aggravation and delay. When the replacement order came, I called them and they issued a return label; again at no charge to me. What more could you possibly ask of a company. If any of you are hesitating ordering from CT, give it a try. If anything isn't to your liking, they'll do what they can to make it right.

Great news. Glad they came through for you. They have always been great with me.

It's nice of you to let us know.

I had a customer bring me some backing fabric from CT and was delighted to see (and feel) how soft and nice the fabric felt! I will definitely look into purchasing backing fabric from them in the future!

Have ordered several times from CT and they have always delivered!! Great company!

Have always had good customer service from Connecting Threads. Glad they were sooo nice to you.

Sassylass 02-09-2014 04:07 AM

I have always had good luck ordering from CT in fact I have4 kits waiting to be finished/started.
Love their fabric too!!
Glad you had a great out come from your experience with them.

ragquilter 02-09-2014 04:44 AM

I am glad to hear you got your issue resolved. I love CT, I buy all my thread from them and as much fabric as I can afford. I love the feel of their fabric and the price. I have ordered 2 kits from them and felt the fabric was generous.

Snooze2978 02-09-2014 05:37 AM

I also love CT for their products as well as their customer service. Back during one of their thread sales, I purchased a bunch of colors, received them, check the invoice with the items only to find somehow a color that was similar to another had been switched. I called them and they didn't question me, just sent the correct color(s) and told me to keep their mistake. I like that idea for sure. I have all their cotton spool thread and I think even their polyester threads in the large spools. My machine loves their thread even though its linty. I try to keep at least 3 of the smaller spools of each color. I've purchased their fabrics and have never been disappointed. Its good to see some companies want to keep their customers happy in these days of trying times in making a buck.

Yooper32 02-09-2014 06:21 AM

Good for you, as they have always had a very good reputation and it is nice to know that that continues now. And, we hope for always.

BettyGee 02-09-2014 07:11 AM

Connecting Threads is a class act. I've ordered from them many times and have never ever been disappointed.

wendiq 02-09-2014 08:00 AM

I've never had a negative issue with them either. I have ordered several kits and ALWAYS have oodles of fabric.....generally quite a bit left over for string quilts.....It's a good company IMHO. I, personally, am not in love with their thread, but only because I have become enamored with Aurifil.....pricier but zero lint....and much thinner....helps me with that darn "scant quarter inch" thing......

I have always been pleased with the service from connecting threads.

kariboo 02-09-2014 10:05 AM

I love there fabric, they ship to Canada, no problems. Fabric is so expensive here. just a idea, I bought 1 yd. of white cotton it cost me $15.99 cdn - and c.t. is only $5.99 us .. I can home from a quilt class night and placed a large order with them..

MargeD 02-09-2014 10:58 AM

I can also attest to the great customer service at Connecting Threads. I had ordered a few items, including their batting, which I find to be a better price, as are their fabrics - when my order came, I received 6 fat quarters which were not what I'd ordered. When I called customer service, they apologized for the error, told me to keep the fat quarters I had received and them immediately sent out the original fabrics I had ordered. I was very impressed, especially since the fat quarters were from a fabric line I had admired, and they were put to good use.

maxnme01 02-09-2014 11:09 AM

I have been VERY SATISFIED with Connecting Threads. I was missing a piece of fabric from a kit and they sent it without complaint. I later found the piece I "thought" wasn't there and felt bad I asked for something I didn't need. I honestly tore the kit apart looking for that one piece and IT WASN'T THERE!!!! Darn fabric fairies they can do mischief.

G'ma Kay 02-09-2014 11:26 AM

I, also, have ordered from CT and have never yet had an opportunity to have to call customer service. Everything I have purchased worked out great. Love the thread.

coopah 02-09-2014 12:39 PM

Thanks for letting us know. It is easy to forget to praise a company when it does something right. Glad to hear your good news.

JanieH 02-09-2014 02:03 PM

I just received a kit and some other fabric I ordered from CT and the all of the fabric is wonderful - can't wait to get started on my kit. I love CT!

I sure hope that someone from the company is aware of all the compliments and comments they receive here on the board.

Alondra 02-09-2014 03:13 PM

I had a similar experience with Connecting Threads, and just can't say enough good about their service. Some of the fabric in the kit were short, and one of them was all gone, so they took the time and bother to substitute a very close fabric. You just can't argue with service like that!

mjhaess 02-09-2014 05:01 PM

I knew they would take care of you..They are a great company to work with...Thanks for letting us know....

NanaBeez 02-09-2014 09:24 PM

Connecting Threads are the best! Their service is fast and the few times I have talked to someone there they have been very helpful and friendly.

Which kit was this? Just curious...

Carol34446 02-10-2014 03:25 PM

Love CT. Ordered a quilt kit with the old time sewing and the pannel was not in the kit like it should have been. I called, talked to them while I looked again and when we decided it was not there they gave me full credit of $30++ dollars and I got to keep all the rest of the material. Wish I could afford to order more from them.

hsquiltingmom 02-10-2014 05:01 PM

I recently tried them for the first time. I ordered some batting and wanted to try their fabrics, so I ordered some. One of the pieces was 1/4 yard short (it was not for any thing in particular, I just ordered it to try it). I knew they had backordered it, as on my account it had said a partial shipment had been sent. When they sent the back ordered piece, they sent what I had originally ordered. I called them and they said, no problem, enjoy it, and thanks for calling us and being honest. I wanted to make sure they realized they had sent more. I will definitely order from them again.

patsynel 02-10-2014 06:16 PM

I have ordered several kits from CT and have been very pleased.

dms 04-17-2017 08:46 AM

That is so different from Shabby Fabrics. I called them to let them know there must have been a miscut on my king sized kit as there was no way I would be able to get the correct amount of cuts out of the fabric sent. Unfortunately, I didn't measure it, so I ordered the two fabrics (1/2 yard each) I needed for those particular blocks and I had so little left over that I knew they goofed in the amount they sent. They Did Nothing! I even wrote them a kind email saying for them it would have meant 1 yard of fabric to have kept a happy customer, but they never even replied to the email. Very dissappointed to say the least. I thought their customer service was terrible!

osewme 04-17-2017 09:01 AM

I bought a kit from them several years ago & wound up cutting one of my pieces of fabric the wrong way & was short fabric because of my mistake in cutting. I wrote to them to see if I could purchase so of the fabric that I mis-cut & they send me what I needed free of charge. Now that's what I call good customer service/relations!

Cari-in-Oly 04-17-2017 10:09 AM

I've been ordering from Connecting Threads for years and have never been disappointed. Fabric, batting, tools, and lots of kits. Every kit I've bought has been very generous with the amount of fabric. Sometimes I'll buy a kit just for the fabric in it, to make something else.

I purchase quite a bit from CT. They have always been gratious when I've had to call about an order being shorted. Never question me, just send it again. My friend ordered a kit from them awhile back and she was shorted one fabric, they went ahead and sent it to her, no questions asked. I've ordered one kit from them and found it had plenty of fabric so made 2 smaller quilts out of it and used the leftovers again for another oversized baby quilt. Can't beat that as I'd gotten the kit at a discount to boot. Loved the fabrics that came with the kit so much that I ordered yardage of the same to keep in my stash.

cashs_mom 04-18-2017 06:25 AM

It's so nice to hear good things about a vendor. It's good to know where you can safely order from and not have problems.

Jordan 04-18-2017 12:18 PM

Thank you so much for your information on CT. I think everyone needs a little positive in their day. It makes us feel good.

notmorecraft 04-18-2017 12:23 PM

I'm in the UK and love CT, If I spend over $75( we all know how difficult that is to do when buying fabric lol) I get free shipping, and it's usually here in around 7 days.
