I'm beginning to think that Connecting Threads is an addiction to me. I just visited their site and ordered three kits and twelve yards of fabric. I just keep telling myself it was all 50% off. I think I may have a problem. :-D :-D :-D What do you all think? Do I need help? :-D :-D :-D

Welcome to my world. tee hee I just bought some of their thread, I haven't used it yet, but it looks nice, hope I like it as well (or close) as aurifil. So much cheaper.

I ordered some right after Christmas. I can not order anything else. I just have to keep telling myself that.

I also have this happy addiction to Connecting Threads -- they get most of my money!! I spent a fortune there right after Christmas buying kits (which I love). So now, I need to spend a 6 months getting them all made

LOL. I just got a package from them today and I think I must be a thread junky as well as a fabric junky. Can't wait to get home and play with it.

I know what you mean about their thread. I love it.

I got the new catalog today! New fabric lines!

LOVE this company... and that fact that it's made in the US!!! An added bonus! Just goes to show all made in the US stuff is not junk/too expensive - - - as their stuff is not junk nor is it expensive!!

I just got a box of fabric and thread from them today too! I love that they sell their fabric in FQ's, and only .74 each, what a deal!!! This is my first time ordering from them and I was more than pleased with the quality. Can hardly wait to sew with the thread.

I LOVE that site!

The cotton is grown in the US, the fabric is manufactured in Mexico. There are no fabric manufacturers left in the US. All textile manufacturing has been exported and I doubt will ever come back.

I just got a package from them last week and have another on the way - got the large thread holder - beautiful!

It's nice to know I'm not alone here.

I received the wood fabric today! I ordered some pine cone fabric, too. I love both of them. Very silky. :-D I have to admit though, I didn't relaly care for some of the fabric I got in an order a few months ago. The pattern seems blurred? Not crisp. It's kind of strange to have the backs the way they are. But--the quality is good.

BellaBoo 01-09-2010 09:06 AM

I like the fabric backs. I can use the backs as blender fabric when I need another color. The few fabrics I ordered that I thought were not up to what I thought, I sent back. No problem with returns.

I received my order from them a couple of days ago and I thought the material itself was really nice and silky but a few of the prints I didn't really care for either. Some of the designs looked like they were painted on, if that makes sense, and the others looked like a nice "normal" print. It's no use to send them back for me, as I'm in Canada and the postage would cost more than the fabric itself, so I'll just use them for backings on table runners etc. The cotton fabric itself is very nice, I just hope they change the way they do some of their printing. Still overall I'm happy with my order, I got 17 yards and 5 spools of thread for $70. shipping included, here in Canada it's around $15 just for one metre of fabric!
I got the pinecones and some of the other ones that go with that line, and I really like those too!

Oh yes ... I agree Connecting threads is a wonderful site. I have gotten three boxes in the last month from them. They really come out with some nice fabric lines. The newest one on the front cover on the catalog is really calling to me... I just can't buy another box of fabric until I finish some of these ... Dog-gone it. Or can I??? LOL!

Oh and did I mention I have bought a stack of new embroidery patterns recently too? Bunny Hill and Crabapple hill large ones. I need to find a embroidery thread site that sells DMC in bulk.
