I read thru the directions on that and it says the same thing I say...NOT what is on the tute that I used.

you're welcome. i've made all the styles of cont. points on that PDF handout so its all accurate - feel confident in making any of those styles from the directions.

I have that one from Utah University. I think you posted it before. Do I understand that you fold material inhalf & press, then open it back up & make your marks & then the cuts 4 inches apart but opposite on each side?

yes, i post it when ever people ask about this topic.

yes, press the fabric in half, then open up and make alternating cuts. make sure you don't cut past that pressing line.

the cuts are always half of the strip size.

ex: the strip measures 8 inches high then you would make alternating cuts every 4 inches.

if the strip measures 10 inches high then you would make alternating cuts every 5 inches.


the smallest i've made so far is a 6 inch high strip with alternating cuts at 3 inches.
