Cornerstone how to or tute?

I am planning on putting cornerstones on the quilt top I'm making when I realized I didn't know how to measure for them. I have one border on without cornerstones and want to add another border with them. Any suggestions on how to measure to get them to fit correctly or does anyone know of a tutorial?

What width did you cut your border strips? Cut 4 squares of the same measurement. Attach one to each end of a border strip that is the same measurement as your quilt top before adding the border strip. Sew to the quilt top that has the strips already added.

I agree with quiltRfun.

if your border measures 6 1/2 inches, you add a cornerstone of that same size. draw it out, it's easy.

the second page of this gives a lot more info on the "how to measure, etc"

hope this helps!
