Correction to BLOCK magazine/book
 

I was reading another forum and saw a post that there is an error in the instructions in BLOCK magazine for one pattern. I thought I would share it here.

Page 55 photo #1 says to square the pinwheel block to 11 3/4 but the written instructions on page 53 say to square to 12 3/4.

12 3/4 is the correct measurment.

And here is one more correction to a pattern:

On page 63 the written instructions (2 Layout) says the orientation with corners in the upper right and lower left. That way the charms will fall from the upper left corner of the quilt to the bottom right like the photo on page 60.

But if you position the blocks as shown in photo 4 the charms will fall diagonally from the upper right to the bottom left!

Has the publisher been notified of these errors.....I found a few too and will let them know.......

Where can we find the complete list of errors? I printed out the above but since this book is going to my MIL I would like all the info correct.

GeriB, what errors did you find? Can you list them here so we all will be warned and can make corrections?

dakotamaid, I don't know where to find a list of errors, I just read about these errors on MSQC's forums.

many magazines and pattern publishers that have a website post their errata on their site. this would be a good suggestion to MSQC

Sorry, but I have advised not to, but in the meantime I have gone to the MSQC forum and there is a discussion there about what I found and a few more found by others. So my suggestion to all interested is to go to that website and find the errors/ corrections. That is what I am going to do.

Could someone please post the specific board the corrections are on...referring to MSQC forums?

I just wish I'd get my copy of the Block. Sounds like everyone else has rec'd their's. If I don't get it in a few days, I'm going to make some inquiries as they have billed my CC.
