Cot pillow
A friend has asked me to make a cot quilt for her newborn grand-son. She sent me the fabric for it and said if there was enough left, could I maybe make a pillow cover. I asked her what size and she couldn't tell me. As anyone got an idea how large/small a cot pillow has to be??? Thanks for your help :)

I'm not picturing a newborn on a cot and I don't think babies use pillows, so I think she is asking for a regular size pillow. Or, maybe just a pillow for decoration.

What is your definition of "cot"? May be way different from mine(USA).....also, here it is recommended strongly that babies NOT sleep with pillows and now I understand, not even blankets of any sort...preventative measure against SID? correct me if I'm wrong- new moms out there.....

Never heard of a cot size here in the USA. Sorry. Your friend needs to tell you the dimensions of the pillow so you can make a pillowcase to fit it. I didn't think that babies slept with a pillow.

Thanks for your help and suggestions!!! :) Yes, I do know about safety issues and my babies never had pillows, later on only what I called a "cuddly pilly" (abt 15 x 20 cm) and they even kept and used them until they were teenagers.... :D . It's amazing how many different sizes are offered for kids/babies pillows :) also depending on the countries. I will see how much of fabric is left first and then I'll make a decision.
Again thanks and I wish you all a lovely week-end!!! <3 |
