Hi, I have some 5 by 7 pictures I have put on fabric.....and would like to use court house steps or something like it to use around them as centers. Can't quite find a pattern...any ideas. ? Only have 6 pictures...so it will be more of a wall hanging....2 are 7 by 5....other orientation. Thanks....

There are any number of blocks you and make with the pictures in the center.

Courthouse steps is a Log Cabin variation. If you look at your square center, use the sides as N-S-E-W. Sew a strip on the N & S edges (which are opposite each other) first, then square up. Now sew a strip on the E & W sides with a second color, then square up. Repeat in this fashion until the block is the size you want. It's really very easy, but quite effective, and this would certainly showcase your photos very well.
