I was just checking out Craft Lady's site.
She's got a thread in Classified and I noticed that she has fabric books and what not. Those of you who are wanting to do craft fairs and are still trying to think of something to make/sell.....I did great selling the books. They don't cost much. I figured it cost me about $7 to make and I was selling them for $12. That's a $5 profit. They don't take long to make either. They sew up quickly! I had only about 20 of them at the fair I was at and I sold out quickly and had ladies asking me if I had more or if I could make more. I had to tell them no only because I had bought EVERY book panel at Ben Franklin's and I knew there weren't any more here on Guam to be found. Would have cost me too much if I had sent off for them, which I knew they wouldn't pay more than $12 for them. Just an idea for some of you....... |
Great idea, thanks.
It always amazed me when I used to do Craft Fairs that the stuff I put tons of work into never seemed to sell, and the small quick items that were easy to do sold well. One year I made little children's denim aprons with pockets for crayons, paint brushes, etc, and filled the pockets with inexpensive crayons. They sold like hotcakes, and were so easy to make. |
