With all the fall festivals and craft shows just around the corner, I was wondering what those who sell at them find to be their best sellers? What are your quick projects that turn quickly and are most profitable? What are your secrets for a successful sale? I did craft shows years ago (before I ever started quilting) and was thinking it might be something I'd like to try again at some point. They were always a lot of fun. A lot of work too, but still fun! Thanks!

I have never sold anything at craft shows but I go to every one I see. Seems to me that the smaller items are the ones being purchased - placemats, coasters, potholders, aprons, table runners. One crafter I know routinely sells out of fabric bags with sandbag attached to be used as thread catchers or trash bags in cars. Hope this helps!

I'm part of a group that holds a benefit fair each summer. Balsam bags, placemats & potholders have been good sellers.
I've contributed 'bookcases' - pillowcases with books that match the theme of the fabric. I'll post some later today when I finish the ones for this year. Also made some baby bibs to see how they will sell - those are quick & easy. |

My neighbor participates in a show every November. She makes lots of table toppers and table runners for them, I know.
This is a good thread! Hope we get lots of ideas! |

I agree. It seems to be the small items that sell best these days. I haven't done a show in along time, but when I did, I sold lavender sachets in the $10 -$12 range. I'll be watching this thread too!
