Craftsy is back

They are still working on getting all the classes customers purchased transferred over so it may be a while, and you’ll have to reset your password, but, it looks like they are offering 45 day free trial. I will be waiting to see if they have any new quilting content before deciding. In the meantime I’m so glad I downloaded all my classes, because not only is the Bluprint App no longer working, neither is the old Craftsy App that I used and preferred when they became Bluprint.

I can't wait to see how this pans out. I am on the search right now. Thanks for the info!

Thanks...I'm off to have a look.

I'm holding my breath on purchased classes but we do seem to be getting closer.

Mkotch 09-04-2020 03:16 AM

Missing the supplies for purchase and the patterns. Looks like those are gone for good?

I saw a note a couple of days ago where they said they still haven’t made a decision about having supplies for sale. Don’t know about patterns.

It’s my understanding they may or may not sell merchandise but, they did say that patterns and classes will be available at some point, they are working to transfer everything over.
Here is the email I got August 28:

By now, we hope you’ve heard the good news that TN Marketing will be continuing many of the services related to your Bluprint/Craftsy classes and subscriptions on a new website which TN Marketing announced will be launching on or around September 1, 2020.

Bluprint is excited to announce that your patterns will also be made available in the future by TN Marketing through the new Craftsy website. This now includes your patterns located in your pattern library, meaning ones by independent designers, Bluprint Patterns, and ones included with a previous Kit purchase. Exact timing and details will be provided by TN Marketing in the future.

There is still time to download your patterns from Bluprint, but you must download those patterns on or before 4 p.m. MDT on August 31, 2020. Please see the FAQs for more information.

I've been going through my fabrics and realize that the lines I bought at Craftsy/Bluprint have been used very seldom. I don't really like them so if they sell those brands I'll skip. The brands I'm referring to are Boundless and Lily something.

mjpEncinitas 09-04-2020 08:23 AM

Well I downloaded the patterns I wanted August 31 but I didn't download the classes. I got a kit when I signed up for Craftsy or Blueprint and got some Boundless? fabric. It worked fine but it had more stretch in it than I expected.

How did everyone download their classes? I never did figure out how to do that.

Ladywingnut 09-04-2020 08:50 AM

So I listened to the announcement about the first 45 days of Craftsy being free on YouTube. I was excited to check out what was new and what was still there. Turns out that there is NOT a free 45 day period on Craftsy. When I asked on the "Chat", I was told that the free 45 days were for members only, AFTER you pay your membership fee!?! I asked what is the point of offer free classes for 45 days if you have to pay for it!?! Come on Craftsy!!! What's going on?!? Strike one for Craftsy!

Ladywingnut 09-04-2020 08:51 AM

BTW, I am so glad that I downloaded my classes and patterns.

rvsfan 09-04-2020 07:00 PM

It's just Bluprint now operating as Craftsy. Same membership fees. The old Craftsy didn't have membership fees, just class and pattern chargers. I tried to take advantage of their welcome offer of all classes free for 15 days. Email specified to use your old Craftsy email address, which I tried to do but several attempts gave me the same error message "invalid email address". I sent them an email explaining the problem but, meanwhile, the 15 days are sliding away.

A lot of myths and double talk is what is going on. Read my post on page 2. I will not be paying a membership fee for Bluprint now operating as the new Craftsy.

JanieW 09-04-2020 07:33 PM

I’ve been watching classes for free. I was not a Bluprint member. I had an old Craftsy account but never paid for anything but individual classes,I had to change my Craftsy password which made me a premium member. Now I can watch any class I want for now.

Three Dog Night 09-04-2020 07:50 PM

So glad I downloaded my classes, I have them all on a USB drive.

Lady Diana 09-05-2020 11:55 AM

Boundless quality is good, however, Lilly is definitely not OK. I sent some back, it was thin, could see through it.

pamelaforsberg13 09-05-2020 01:56 PM

My subscription with Bluprint did not run out till next May. Now Craftsy wants me to pay another year for prime membership. Where is the rest of my subscription money gone. I thought it was going to carry over to Craftsy. Strike two Craftsy.

Watson 09-05-2020 10:46 PM

I changed my old Craftsy password and it sonehow kicked my subscription into Premuim, so everything is free to watch, for now at least.
I even checked and they don't have a VISA card number on file for me so theycan't possibly charge me.
Don't know what's going on, but I'll take it.

Attempt to sign in, then you should see the option “forgot password” they will then send a link to your email to change it. Simply follow the link, change your password, log back in with new password and you should be good to go.

I signed back into Craftsy and receive 45 day trial period on the new Caftsy. I also just got an email explaining when our old classes will be made available again to us:

"You may have noticed your classes aren’t in your account quite yet. We are working quickly to give you access to all your previous class purchases. We promise they’ll arrive soon and you’ll have access to all our Craftsy classes until your classes are delivered to your account.

Now, let’s get back to crafting…"

redbreast 09-06-2020 10:38 AM

You are so right Ladywingnut. I was really excited to get the e-mail that Craftsy is back only to find out that I really do not think this is our old Craftsy that we dearly loved. But I guess the only thing we can do is give it a chance and see if it gets better. We can only hope.

my account says it expires January, 2021. Did you change your password and look at your account?

Onebyone 09-07-2020 05:33 AM

Craftsy is free for anyone who registers for the next 45 days. Click on forgot password and get a link in email to make one. It's mostly the classes that were on before. New ones will be coming later. I'll have to see what the new classes will be before I pay a membership and what discounts there are on quilting supplies. There is a fabric store that is selling all the fabric and pre cuts from old Craftsy at very low prices on Facebook. A warehouse type store. I think Lu Lu's but not sure. It's interesting how you shop for it. Pay a warehouse fee of $20 and select a packaged box filled with selections to be pulled and mailed to you. Lower price then the Craftsy clearance sale.
