Craftsy invitation....did you?

So did you join Craftsy for 2.49 a year? Just not sure. So much is free on-line.

Onebyone 10-25-2020 07:19 AM

For less then $3 why not. I have enjoyed many classes other then quilting on Craftsy.

IceLeopard 10-25-2020 07:43 AM

No. The whole kerfluffle left a bad taste in my mouth.

Onebyone 10-25-2020 08:27 AM

Many new members who have no idea about the old Craftsy will probably make it a success. I think the new version is much better already.

Be sure to call them right away and cancel the Auto Renewal option for next year or you may find yourself with a big bill. The customer service number is on the site and they are very friendly.

I got an invite and have not dealt with them. Not worth my time.

SusieQOH 10-26-2020 04:57 AM

I didn't get that invitation! If I did I would go for it. But I agree with Watson. Those things seem to creep up on us.

sewbizgirl 10-26-2020 04:14 PM

I would sign up for that in a heartbeat, but I didn't get the invite.

yes I did I was an original member and missed it when changes were made from Blueprint to current.

I am hopeful for new new ideas and projects 😊

I cancelled the auto pay as soon as I paid for the year. With any low introductory offer there is usually auto renew. Always cancel before you forget. It will be with pay pal or credit card and both ways are easy to cancel the auto renew.

SusieQOH 10-27-2020 04:49 AM

I got charged for a full year right before they closed down so I did a chargeback on my cc.

What options do you especially like?

The same thing happended to me. I'm on the fence about a chargeback. I was hoping something of value would come out of it. But so far I haven't found anything. I'm just seeing heft charges for class purchases.

Has any one quit and rejoined at the lower price? I know I'll loose what I purchased through Bluprint. Anything else you may regret?

Thanks!

Oh no! Says it's expired.

thrums 11-01-2020 07:46 PM

I guess I waited too long. I went to the site under a differerent browser and the special offer is no longer available. Then I tried incognito and still no go.

My only option left is to call custmer service to remove auto-renewal.

"If you have any questions about your membership or would like to cancel automatic renewal call customer service at: 1 (888) 891-7203"

I'm going to give one more month to detremine if there is any added value. If not, I'll cancel.

I just received the $2.49 invite this evening. Perhaps they're doing a slow rollout of the offer? At any rate, I can't help being suspicious, and I really miss the shopping side of Craftsy.

Ladywingnut 11-02-2020 07:44 AM

I was a member of Crafts, before Blueprint. I got the $2.49 invite, but I'm talking a pass. I'm just not happy with what happened and I'm not to thrilled with who the new owners are.

Mazo 11-02-2020 08:33 AM

I received a Craftsy voucher for $5 a year, but it came from National Quilters Circle. Are the two related? From other threads, NQS seems a bit hokey.

Ladywingnut 11-02-2020 09:01 AM

NQS is who bought Craftsy, and they are super hokey! In my option, Blueprint was hokey too! The old Craftsy had some great high quality classes. The new Crafts has some big shoes to fill IMHO!!
