Bree...I'd like to add my thanks along with the others..you provided an excellent review of sites and thanks to you, I've now found Iquilt. I didn't renew my AQS membership because i just didn't see a benefit, hence I'd have not known about IQ. I'm going to take one of their classes. I have many many from Craftsy and I enjoy just watching them on nights when I don't feel like quilting. Again, thanks for your time and effort on the review.

I have several Craftsy classes and have been very happy with them. Angela Walters/FMQ is great. Jackie Gehring also is very good...these two are mostly about modern quilting techniques. Quilting large quilts on a small machine by Anne Peterson is excellent...it has a lot of basics and ways to make the job easier. I also learned a lot from Amy Gibson's free BOM a few years ago...it may still be available.

I agree. I don't like to pay to watch a video then be informed for the project to work and look right you need to purchase the template on top of it. If I have to, I'll look for a different pattern for my project.

Thank you for all the information. I am a bit late joining in.
You have given me new directions in finding classes and videos. Craftsy has been my go-to for several years because I was not aware of other venues. A friend gifted me my first class, and I was hooked! Some of the instructors enjoy international fame: Jacqui Gerring, Anita Grossman, Carol Doak among others. Besides the free classes, there are often sales. |
