Has anyone use Crayola washable markers?? Well, they are great to mark your quilt top for quilting, both hand and machine. Once you are done simply wash your top and all the making comes out. Good as new....give it a try on a small piece and see what happens...oh wash first, square up and bind after... three things to remember
1.) test a bit first
2.) try to never use red
3)use cold water to remove markings.

I have used them...and love them...but definitely advise everyone to test them on their fabrics!

I used them and had no problem. I think I even used an orange one and it came right out.

I've use them, even the dark colors such as brown and purple. They work beautifully and it all comes out in the wash.

Just don't let a little child get ahold of them and decide to write on their own skin. Tough to get out according to a neighbor. Her two sons decided to decorate with green blue and red marker on their faces for days. The pastor didnt say too much during church services...LOL!

Never thought about them before for marking a quilt. (I get disgusted when I watch the kid accidentally marking on the couch. What if they didn't realize they were using a regular marker?) Good idea, and I'm glad to see you got some positive feed-back.

Reminds me of the time I took my daughter in for her checkup. When the doctor pulled up her shirt to listen to her heart she had drawn all over her tummy with a ballpoint pen. He got a chuckle out of it.

That is a great tip. Next trip to Wal-Mart, going to get some. Thanks for this information .

I've used the black, green, purple, and yellow. Won't use the red and orange, not going to take any chances. It was a spur of the moment quilt and they worked great for quilting lines. Anyway, they came right out with a rinse in cold water.
