Hi,
What's your favorite size to make? I'd like to make up some practice pieces for machine quilting and then donate them to my guild's comfort quilt program. They aren't too fussy about sizes so thought I get some opinions here.
Thanks,
lots2do

Sizes vary by the pattern. Most of mine are 40 x 40 or close to that. Some are a bit longer. I have done a couple that a 36x36. Mostly is what you feel is right or what the pattern calls for.

I try to keep mine no wider than width of fabric so I don't have to piece the back. I make mostly square ones for babies. The QFK quilts are about 38 x 44.

I make mine so I can use WOF for the back without piecing, the length depends on the pattern I want to make.

I do the same as bj & Sadiemae. Only as wide as the WOF so backing doesn't need to be pieced

Thank you, all!

I made my daughter one that was 45 by 60 and she said it was just toooo big. So 36 X 36 is good, also 36 X 44 like the QFK's quilts.
