How do you cross hatch a rectangle quilt? I saw a diagram where you measured the width of the quit , took that measurement and came down the quilt that many inches then drew a line across the quilt; drew a line from the corner to the just drawn line -- after that I don't remember what I read or saw in the illustration. Does this make any since at all? If so, please HELP !!

The way I do it, is to make a 45% angle on the quilt. Anywhere, mark it with masking tape. Do all the stitching on that angle and then mark again 45% angle going the other way. When all is done, you cannot tell where you started and ended.

I have this information but I was asking about cross hatching a rectangle -- this info is talking about a square or at least that is the way I understand it. Maybe it is all done the same. Thanks for your help.
