I know this is a quilting board but people on here seem to know everything or have resources. I'm searching for the counted cross stitch chart for the Imes Bridge of Madison County. Does anyone have the chart of know where I might find one? Thank you.

I have a lot of cross stitch patterns and magazines. Seems to me one of the magazines did the bridges of Madison County. If you don't mind waiting a couple of days, I'll sure take a look through my stuff.

That would be fantastic. It was Better Homes and Gardens.

The pattern is on e-bay for $4.75 I think.
Google it and it will come up:)

Oh, I sure wish I still did cross stitch!

Thank you. I did see the ones on e-bay.

Its like quilting........I have a million want to do's on my list. I'm preparing for retirement when I won't have the money to buy anything....just work on all the quilt material and cross stitch I've accumulated.

Well, I searched my cross stitch stash and I only came up with one of the bridges and unfortunately it's not the one you are looking for.

Sorry I couldn't help you out.

Thank you. I really appreciate you're looking.

Sorry, I can't help, but I am also a lover of cross stitch.

Have you put your cross-stitch work into quilt blocks? I'd like to cross-stitch some flowers then cut them to fit into a quilt. Possible?

Xstitshmom 10-03-2011 08:17 AM

Yes, it is possible to combine the two. I saw a magnificent quilt at a quilt show last year that did this. She cross stitched her pictures and then blocked them and sewed sashing around the blocks.
