Crown Royal quilt with scrappy yellow fabric: Is this OK?

A relative asked me to make her son a Crown Royal quilt. For all of you who don't know what Crown Royal is, it's a alcoholic drink bought in a flannel purple bag with the words on it in yellow. So I have washed the bags and taken them apart. I looked on Google for all the designs and figured out I will make one in stars with the words Crown Royal in the middle of the star. I will use the purple flannel as much as I can in the star but when DH and I matched the yellow in the lettering to the various yellow fabrics I have, we found that the lettering went really well with 3 different fabrics. So since the purple flannel is in various colors and the yellow lettering is all different, I am thinking that making the quilt with my 3 different yellow fabrics will be fine too. Asking opinions if you all think this will work for me ?

Here are a few of the previous threads about making quilts with these bags.

I think it will look good! It will make the quilt more interesting, in my opinion.

I think adding more variety is always a good idea.

Wow, it has been eons since I have been exposed to Crown Royal. I can remember when the purple bag was made out of Velvet. Wonder when they went to flannel. I bet flannel is a lot easier to work with than the velvet! And you will be find using multiple yellows. I think it will look great.

I've been handed Crown Royal bags also. How well did they wash? I don't have enough so far to make anything but they are coming. Looking forward to seeing your quilt. Down here they are usually made into Mardi Gras quilts with purple gold and green theme.

I can't get this link to work. What words would I search for to get to that thread?

Did an advance search of "Crown Royal". Came up with at least 3 post regarding these bags.

I bought 55 crown royal bags at a yard sale for $3, these bags are not like they used to be I'm going to do something with them one day

A friend gave me a grocery store bag of Crown Royal bags that she paid $20 for. It is a "one of these days" I'll make a quilt from the bags.... There's a variety of pictures of quilts made from Crown Royal bags if you perform a search online. I noted that some quilters said they would charge an arm and a leg to make another one because it was such a pain to do. I'll be interested to hear how it goes.... BTW the link on didn't work that maniacquilter2 posted.
