show me a picture of a quilt you have made using crumbs. I understand the concept of sewing the crumbs at the start of a seam- but how do you turn them into a quilt top?

Here are tons of posts about crumbs. They're really fun, try them! http://www.quiltingboard.com/search.jsp?q=crumb&u=

Wow! Thanks to Megsann, now I can see how a crumb quilt looks and I am impressed! Really nice quilts. I had been cutting my scraps into pieces according to Bonnie Hunter's suggestions - now I might start cutting them into crumbs so I can get started on a crumb quilt :-D

Go to Quiltville.com, she has lots of patterns for scrappy quilts and probably is the gal who thought of the "crumb" quilt.

I made this quilt for my sister in law for Christmas. I put the blocks together, then sewed rick rack over the seams quilting it at the same time. I made big 18" blocks then covered those seams with the black fabric. If you look really close you can see some HST and other partially made pieces of blocks in there.

This was a quilt as you go
