Crystal Quilting Machine---any owners out there?
I have a friend that has found this system used at a good price. I have never heard of it myself and have an HQ16.
Does anyone have any experience with this machine? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/art/4336235069.html Here is the listing. |
I've never heard of it..

I also haven't heard of the machine, but why don't you check out the Bailey? They have good machines and great customer service. They also quite often have free shipping to the lower 48 states, and also might have some "student" machines. When I have the room and the money, I'm going with the Bailey.

Maybe it is a New Joy Crystal Quilter. I have had one since late 2008. Bought it used from a Janome dealer. (I have since been told that it is a "stretched" Janome. It has a 17" harp. Mine is on a Magic frame. Apparently they have stopped making them, maybe 1-2 years now. It can be serviced by a Janome dealer. It has worked fairly well for me, for the amount of quilting I do.

Krafty---I think that IS what she has found. I found a yahoo group and passed along the link to her. Joining that should get the answers she is looking for.

One of the forum members emailed me suggesting that a larger needle could solve my stitch skipping issue. I had been using a 90x14 Organ brand needle. Tried a 100x16 today. No skipped stitches!! I could not be happier!! If only one of the repair shops I've been to in the last 14 years had just suggested that, it would have saved me a lot of heartache!
Thank you forum!! |
