Curve master foot

Hi Guys,

Can any of you who have this foot give me your opinions on it please. Is it worth purchasing?

Hugs

I bought mine 4 yrs ago and still haven't tried it. I too would be interested in everyone's opinion.

i bought one a long time ago and have only used it once, but it worked great that one time

I've used it and it was okay. Did just as well with a regular foot when sewing Drunkard's Path blocks. I say, save your money and use your regular, or quarter inch foot.

this is how I feel as well. On the other hand, I'm very happy with the set of DP templates I bought from them.

I know I shouldn't be answering because I don't have this foot BUT I have considered it a few times. I am currently making a large apple core quilt & think it might be a good project to test it on. I'm not having any problems with just pinning it & going slowly, but if you like gadgets.... you might find it very helpful. I did a search on curve master foot reviews & there are certainly lots of differing opinions. Before you buy the foot, could you have your shop do a demo on it, and then let you sit down & use it yourself?

I really struggled with mine and finally put it away. One day I'll try it again.

However, I remember a thread going around at that time that people LOVED it. I hope it works out well for you!

I have one. I have played with it a couple of times using apple core pieces. I just think there is quite a learning curve with it and I just don't want to practice, practice, practice with it! I will eventually make an apple core project and a drunkard's path. Whether I use this foot that I bought specifically for these projects, I don't know yet. Do a search on you tube for Curvemaster foot videos. They sure make it look easy and it does produce a nice curved seam!!

I tryed mine once, ended up just using my clear foot to do Winding Ways.

I debated about purchasing this foot when I saw it demonstrated at a show. I am now glad that I did not buy the foot - there are several great videos online showing how to do curved piecing without this foot. Too many times at a show we are awestruck with so many gadgets - only to purchase them and toss them into a drawer. There were a couple of quilters at the foot demo that had purchased this foot only to take it to guild metings and trade them off. All in all curved piecing is totally doable without this foot.
