A couple years ago, I used the curved needle on a quilt I tied. I found it worked great and saved me a lot of time. I would definitely use it again.

I went to look at the ones I have and have discovered one package where all the needles in it are rusted. Out they go. Not sure how long I've had them.

  • Ideal for tying or tufting quilt layers together
  • Can also be used for upholstery and other craft projects
But like everything else if life, if it works for you, use it!!

I've never heard of using a curved sewing needle for hand quilting; but I know they are used when basting a quilt for hand piecing.

I have used the curved needle when I tie a quilt. It works good for all the layers and at the seams.

I have a package of curved hand quilting needles. I have not used them. My family tries to buy quilting things for me and I think that is where they came from. The package says hand quilting on it.

I have been using steel needles made in Japan...Tulip brand. They flex,but don't bend. It's hard to sew accurately with a bent needle.

Not sure it would be something I could get my head or hands around but for those who can.....I think you can get these on amazon.com site and probably other craft stores too...several makers from john james to dritz.... google curved quilting needles to find more options
