I had posted a request to buy one of these on the board and several folks wrote to say they hated them. Someone said to post my opinion after the class I took on using these.
Well, I don't have quilt top to show you, but I do have over 40 7" blocks made. I loved using it. It took a couple of blocks to find my groove, but once I did it was the best. I had never even contemplated doing a quilt with circular seams. As someone who has sewn clothes I know what a pain easing this kind of shape can be. But with this foot the whole process just zipped along. Of the 40 I have made so far only about three had errors that I had to take out and redo.

glad you like it, I had to learn it on my own but it sure makes orange peels and such so much easier! and I use those bent tweezers daily for one thing or another! can't wait to see your quilt.

I don't know what a curvemaster is. Can you post a pic of it or the blocks?

It is a foot used for piecing curved pieces such as drunkards path, ornage peel. Here is a pic which doesn't really show how it works.
Here is a video showing it in use, essentially the same info I was told in class.

Am I remembering correctly that you have to have special templates to cut the fabric when using the Curvemaster?
