okay. I will try and make this as right sounding as possible. how would I go about sewing fabric in a "wavy" strips? kinda like making the fabric look like a bargello but without the cutting of a bargello? and all in a couple of fabric lines? hope this is clear as mud for you all to understand. i have looked for tutes but just can't seem to find the right wording. and a u-tube vid would be the best. i am a visual learner. thanks

Check out Ricky Tims (spelling?). he does something with a rotary cutter that sounds sort of like what you're describing, cutting in a wavy pattern.

That would be Ricky Tims Convergence technique...wonderful, not that I have attempted it but a few of my quilting buddies have made really nice wall hangings!!

i overlap the two pieces of the edges of fabric. i usually just want a small wave. lay then straight and make sure the pieces have the same amount of over/under. then a gentle wavy curve cut with a rotarty cutter. start and stop with at least an inch of straight cut so it is easier to match. then just sew right sides together. i do not use pins with this method.
