When I make a whole cloth quilt, I have problems cutting it the width and length I need. I've tried folding the fabric in half, and then in half again, putting it on the cutting mat and using the rotary cutter. This doesn't work because of the thickness of the fabric...it comes out askew. I've marked the center of the fabric, measured X inches from the center on all four sides, marked, marked, marked (whew!) then cut with scissors which is a ton of work. Anyone have a better way to do it?

You're welcome! :D
Wait till you see her work, OMG!!!!!!!! |
what size whole cloth are you making?

I would keep doing it the way you have been but cut it overly large then trim back to size when you're finished quilting it. That way you'll have some fudging room.
