No need to apologize. It is funny!

I'm sorry but I had to gigle/laugh too .... In a few years it will be one of THOSE family stories.

So sorry but have to laugh....my DH would do the same thinking that he was helping.

Tink's Mom 07-06-2012 02:59 PM

at least he didn't drive over it...mine wouldn't have even looked.

Yep, save me from men who think they are "helping". Good luck getting the new bumps out of it.

FYI..my dh had an extra thermometer and was bored......yes, he put the thermometer on our driveway about 12:30 or so. The thermometer read 117 at that point of the day. Oh, and our driveway is on the west side of our house.

Repairs to hoses are pretty easy to do. Now the main line cap, that's another story altogether.

Yeah, but these are underground pipes which sprinklers are attached to. It doesn't take forever but it's a down on your knees type of repair.

Our 100+ temps are comin' tomorrow for the next week. We live in the desert but 100+ is too hot. Glad our a/c works just fine! Stay cool, if possible.

That was a mental picture, reading about the gusher after you ran over a sprinkler head! My DH won't even let me near the lawnmower -- the one time he tried to teach me how to use it, it was going so fast I was running after it holding onto the handle (I'm short). The darn thing almost climbed the fence as it's self propelled. Our neighbor nearly bust a gut laughing at the entertainment I was providing them. DH kept yelling "let go of it" but I couldn't hear him over the mower noise....

Aw, I'm sure he meant well. I think he should buy you a new one!
