What would I do without you girls, you've been very helpful, will try to use more pressure next time. A big thank you again!!

I find that the rotary cutter doesn't cut well on only one layer of fabric. I can cut 8 layers, but I like 6 layers the best.

I have cut up to 16 layers on my Altos with a 60mm rotary cutter. Just used a little more pressure and had no problem.

" a little extra pressure" is all you need.. a friend was working at my house one day and pressed so hard on her rotary cutter that she cut not only the fabric but also all the way thru my thick Joann's cutting mat....now that is too much pressure! I don't think she noticed and I didn't tell her but it's a good reminder that there is such a thing as "too much".
