Cutting fabric from right to left
I saw a tutorial here and search as I may, I can’t find it. Help please.

I'm going to try that method the next time I'm doing a quilt that I have a lot of cutting. The last project was paper pieced so not a lot of chance to try that out.

Can't view the You Tube video, but when I use my Slidelock ruler I cut from right to left. Maybe that is it.

Interesting! Other than the folding (which I may try) that is how I havenself taught myself to cut - it is the only way I could think of to get square cuts. I’m still not very good at it though especially for strips as I was doing the long thing! so I bought a sizzix machine and strip die to cut my strips (half the price off accuquilt) and I love it for strips.

Also, I tried it. I suppose I did it incorrectly, but I ended up with a crooked piece. I went back to the old way. bkay |
I roll up my yardage by folding half of it down to the selvage and fold (roll) it up on my 6" x 24" ruler, so when I go to cut a piece off, I cut from right to left. If I was left handed, I would reverse the folding and cut from left to right. Hope that makes sense to everyone.
