Joann's is having a sale on their cutting machines. Does anyone have one? If you do, do you use it alot? Which brand do you like?

Which one are you interested in. I have heard that the Accuquilt Go is wonderful (mine arrives on Thursday-Yeah). I have the rotary cutter that they have for about 79.00-what a waste of money.

They are advertising the AccQuilt go and the Provo Craft Cricut Expression.

I didn't know if anyone had either of these and if they thought they were worth the expense.

Thanks!! :)

I have the AccuQuilt GO! and I love it. I'm not sure I would ever use it for cutting out a particular quilt pattern, but I love it for cutting up the fabrics leftover when I cut out a quilt with my rotary cutter. It's nice to have the scraps in some kind of storable and usable block. Now, I have lots of different blocks that will go together to make a nice scrappy quilt. It's wonderful to be able to stack and store them.

If I had the money I'd get the Accuquilt cutter.

Me too. Only thing I don't like too is that its so expensive for each die. I wonder how much it is to get your own die made. I may have to research that one. I have been tempted. Waiting for prices to come down. Since its so new, that may happen with a little wait. And used ones will be on the market.

go on Amazon.com to save $ Got it and love it but im not crazy with the flower die as u have to applique it all. The stem is too small, or rather to say is im a beginner & don't know how to appliqued. Save on cutting time too.

I have a Accuquilt go cutter--smaller cutting area--I love it. I use it all the time.

I don't know if the Cricut Expression cuts fabric. It is very popular with scrabookers for cutting paper, but I think the action of the blade could really snag and pull at fabric.

Sizzix used to have a set of dies for quilting shapes that cut fabric, but they are produce relatively small shapes.

I wondered about the effectiveness of the rotary cutter and appreciate the review (won't waste time or money on that).

Cheers, K

I have never really looked at these. Has anyone ever tried the dies that teachers use to cut out paper shapes? Although I rarely used something like this, I know the ones at the service center are workhorses.
