Cutting Mat cracked

After three days. Of Quiting at our quilt staycation, may cutting mat cracked in half when I put it into my vehicle. What cutting mat would you recommend.

Was the mat exposed to real cold temps? Time to cut it up for purse floors....

I have green Olfa mats and love them.

Martelli is my first choice.

Olfa--the self-healing feature seems to keep them usable much long--but avoid heat & extreme cold (and irons!) I have a Fiskars one I take for retreats, etc that doesn't seem to be as sensitive.

Mine is an Olaf mat, and it did go from warm to cold. I may try to tape the back with packing tape for the time being.

I just bought a Quilters Select and I love it!! It's a bit softer than my Olfa. I had an Olfa crack on me years ago and I wound up with 2 lol - good for certain things.

I like Alvin mats. They're green on one side, black on the other, and less expensive than Olfa, particularly in the larger sizes. They have them on Amazon. The extra large one I bought has a very handy centering section, where there's a zero line and then it counts outwards from that line - I've used that a lot.

i have two Olfa's. one is from 1991 and I still use it. just smell them first. and never buy those stiff white ones. they are hard on blades.
