Cutting Mat and Gravy
Like many of you quilters, I spread out on the dining room table to measure and cut with my large cutting board. You guessed it, it finally happened when I tried to serve dinner with the cutting board shoved off to the side. I mopped up the spilled gravy...but there are still a couple spots. Is it ok to use dish soap on the cutting mat?

I would say yes. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.
|
i second that.
|
Yes. That's what I use to clean mine. Just rinse well.
|
I agree too, any mild soap and rinse well should do it.

It it is a self healing mat the water will be good for it. Those mats dry out over time and need moisture.
|
Definitely. Just put a blob onto each spot and rub it in with a sponge, then rinse.
|
I'd suggest giving your mat a bath. Lukewarm water in the tub for a few minutes, a gentle scrubbing, rinse well. Lay it out flat to dry on a towel or sheet. :)
The mats dry out, and the moisture is good for them~ |
Thanks everyone!

I would lay it flat to dry.
