Cutting Table
1 Attachment(s)
Here is a pic of my cutting table, its big at one end I have a 56x33 cutting mat (the big white one from Joanns) at the other end I have an opening for my machine and lots of space to lay the quilt. Any way this table was very white but it was a ugly white.
We went to Lowes and I purchased a small sample jar of their paint, I was looking for a very very pale pink, so pale you almost couldn't tell what color it was. Purchased a sample and brought it home and put on wall don't like it on wall to dark. Here I am with sample jar of paint in one hand and paint brush in the other, turned around and right in front of me was my table. Ah-ha I am not going to let this sample go to waste. Cleared everything off the table, took my machine out of cutout and washed the table down and what do you know? That pink looks pretty darn good on this table. you really can't tell its pink, maybe if we were in direct sunlight it would be different but right now I think it looks pretty darn good. By the way I do know there is a crack running down the table, Dh is already on it and getting ready to fix it for me. |
PS Forgot to tell you the color. Its called

Looks real good.

Looks good to me. If you like it that is that matters.

Verna, that looks great! and I'm more than a little jealous of such a great space!! Congrats!

You can cover it with flooring, never worry about scratches.

Looks great! I love those sample jars at Lowe's, just got one for a mirror frame, sure beats paying for a quart when you only need a 1/2 cup lol.

I do love pink...your table is great

Great idea. You just helped me think of another project for my DH; I know he will be thrilled.

At Sherwin Williams I was told not to use the sample paint other than a test that will be covered ($5 tester) as it is not made to be permanent. It is made from returned paint - I didn't ask how. Check with your dealer.

It looks great!

I completely understand. Sometimes white is just too much, but you don't want a color. I have added just a drop or two of a color to my white and used it. No one really knows it is there but it just cuts the 'whiteness'.

They might be telling you a story! I work in wood a lot and I often only buy the sampler cans because I don't need very much. In the 20 years of making my dollhouses and fairy houses, I have never had a problem. And it is SO much easier to store those little jars than gallon cans!

Love that color. I am more of a yellow person. Will have to check them out.
