D9p layout question

Hope all of you had a great Christmas! I'm ready to start a D9P for my DGS three of the fabrics are directional. How do I make sure the finished block has all the squares with the design going the right way? I saw a tutorial about how to do this but can't find it now. Any help will be appreciated

On here or Google, search for "directional disappearing 9 patch" OR say "directional stripe disappearing 9 patch".

I made a D9P look alike for my brother in law by cutting the components separately and sewing together in the right directions. A little more difficult but it worked great.

Instead of turning the 2 blocks just move them to opposite corners

Try this. I used this pattern to make an I spy disappearing nine patch. It's not the traditional layout, but I was able to change the layout to what I wanted. I don't think I changed how I sewed the nine patch together.

cjsews is correct....don't twist the blocks, just pick up the opposite corners and swap them.

I agree and this is what I did with mine.
