D9P random scrappy or controlled scrappy
I am in the process of making memory quilts using cotton clothing I have cut the fabrics for a D9P. Each square will have the same centre fabric should I use two fabrics to complete each block, I have 8 squares of 20 fabrics or should I mix the fabrics up so they are totally scrappy with only the centre blocks remaining constant. Any advice or photographs would be great.

I am one that likes controlled scrappy. Did this on the back of a Bargello Xmas table runner.

There are 2 pages in the album here on the forum for DP9. When I make mine I prefer to have the centers all the same - these will be sliced in quarters and then the 4 middle blocks of one same fabric - these are the ones that will be sliced in half and help give a little more structure to the scrappy corners. http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...bums18014.html

Thank you, never thought to look for an album. The pics have certainly given me some ideas.
