I feel your pain, been there myself a time or two.

sandybuttons 02-05-2012 03:37 PM

ouchie hate when that happens :(

momto5 02-05-2012 04:32 PM

I don't know if that's worse than thinking that has actually happened, make a new block, and then find the "missing" one tucked under another block....and PLEASE! don't ask me how I know this, okay? Anyway, sorry for your frustration!

jollyquilting 02-05-2012 04:36 PM

I've done it too. I even embroidered a whole block before I "found" another, now I have an extra. LOL

Peggy Jeanne 02-05-2012 04:51 PM

Isn't that frustrating!

nativetexan 02-05-2012 05:28 PM

Oh my, did you look on the back of your dress! sometimes i swear they jump on us and take a ride. Hope you find it soon. make someone else help you look. four eyes are much better than two. then if no luck, quit looking and it may show up all by itself.

lfstamper 02-05-2012 06:23 PM

Hate when I miscount! At least you only need one more.

huntannette 02-05-2012 06:31 PM

sandraa 02-05-2012 07:29 PM

Last time I did that, I made one more block and then found the missing block taped to the wall.

Dina 02-05-2012 07:32 PM

I was going to tell you to look on the floor...that has solved my problem before. But I guess you already found it. :)

Dina

jemma 02-06-2012 06:07 AM

plan a reward when the last one is finished---it wont hurt as much!!!!!

pasolovers 02-07-2012 03:55 AM

Hate that when it happens, so frustrating

Yooper32 02-07-2012 04:34 AM

Tack the extra one on the wall to remind yourself, count, count , count.

Kayaker26 02-07-2012 05:08 AM

Look everywhere first last time I thought I was missing one, after sewing another it turned up. ARGHHH! It happens

Quiltbeagle 02-07-2012 06:10 AM

If you did by chance make it, I bet you'll find it hidden underneath something... but not until you PP the other one!

Suzbo 02-07-2012 06:50 AM

If you find the missing one after piecing another block, just make the extra block into a matching pillow/sham.

Good that found the block. Hold on to the extra one and use it for another quilt.

LynnVT 02-07-2012 07:21 AM

Feeling your pain! Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

gypsylady5 02-07-2012 08:32 AM

Better than 2 blocks missing. Have fun and get that photo posted so we can enjoy your work.

michelehuston 02-08-2012 05:31 AM

maryfrang 02-08-2012 05:37 AM

Make a block for the one that is missing, and guess what, now you have a pillow to go with the quilt. Always happens that way. I guess the pillow makes a nice touch. Just don't tell everyone why you have a nice pillow to match. Your secert. Can you tell I have done it too.

huntannette 02-08-2012 11:06 AM

ha ha ha...good idea!!!

Raring to go all but for one block-I've done that and even had to cut more fabric. Soon you'll be putting it together. Sounds like a cute quilt project.

oldbalt99 02-09-2012 08:39 PM

Sorry to hear it, but think how glad you will be when you finish the quilt.

BETTY62 02-09-2012 08:46 PM

I hate it when that happens. I hope the block isn't a really difficult one.
