Dangling Block Wallhanging?

Howdy y'all. ☺

I'm wanting to make the wallhanging that has the bottom left block holding onto the binding to keep from falling off. Does anyone know the one I'm talking about? I'm looking for a pattern to do it, but can't find one. I've googled "dangling block", "hanging block", and even "missing block", but all I've found are a couple of pics and one person on etsy who was making them and selling them for $130 each. Is there a free pattern for this anywhere, and am I using the wrong quilt name in my search? I'd sure appreciate the help! 😃

There have been several on QB. I think one titlewas Tighten the tension or hang in there? I don't know of an actual pattern I think most just wing it from a picture.

Someone here just made something like that. I am almost sure it was QuiltNan.

Nancy, I went to that post and clicked on the link, but it told me I have to snail mail them with the money, then they'll email it to me when they get it. I really don't like doing business that way...I'd rather pay for it online and get it that way. Is there anywhere else to get it??

I would contact him thru his email he has posted. I am surprised that he doesn't accept PayPal. They only take 2.9% plus 30 cents processing. You could send him a check. I am sure he is honest.

I made one for a friends birthday!! Just made 3" blocks! Then just sashed them! You don't really need a pattern! I called it The Runaway Block!!! The eyes are just white buttons with a smaller black button on top! The 'shoes' are pieces of felt glued on!

What a cute idea. It is so funny.

Donna, I just e-mailed Chris today! He answered in about 1/2hr. Sent me his address and asked me to send a check and Included in the e-mail was the downloadable .pdf pattern! Very trusting person! Try again by e-mail!

He did the same for me Kitsie. Aaarrgh! I "don't do" checks, and don't even own any! I guess I'll just stick cash in an envelope and send it.

Donna, you can do a money order. After cash came up missing from an envelope I sent I will never send cash again.

I bought the pattern from Chris Gilman
[email protected] the little socks and shoes are for a doll, also bought online. The pattern was very reasonable. I think her website is:
Close Encounterpanes

Scroll down a bit for the pattern.

I made this without a pattern after I saw the picture. I added a face, arms/hands/legs/feet some don't have them and also used Barbie doll boots on the legs. Will see if I can find a picture. Grandson asked if he could have it so it is gone.
