Doing trapunto work and I ran out of water soluble thread!! The one thread where nothing else can substitute!

There are a few stores open today ... NONE of them carry water soluble. Including Joanne's - I called two within a 40 mile radius of me. Nada.

ARGH!!!!!

Yep, it seems like just when your rolling along well, a roadblock. I find it hard to get back into my groove after the wait. Bummer. :-(

Next time, buy 2 spools. when you are using the second one, buy 2 more. That way you wont run out again.

Oh not you too. I had the same thing happen to me today. I had to go to Joanne's to get more. They didnt have the color that I needed. Got the next closest color they had. Lucky for me it is for piecing.

I can't find that thread anywhere around my area. I order it from Superior Threads. The delivery is fast and shipping is only $3 per order.

Don't you hate it when that happens!

Stupid question: Why would you use water soluable thread for trapunto? Wouldn't you want the thread to be permanent? I've never tried trapunto before so I seriously think I'm probably missing something here.
