I couldn't find the thread David started. I have this neat tool to close the pins when sandwiching a quilt. I coudn't do without it.

It is the Kwik Klip- Paula Joan Creations- Sacramento, CA (916) 468-3480. I had it years ago, I haven't seen it in the quilt store anymore.
Once I went to a class and a quilter had one made with a wood handle and a screw. Worked just fine.

I bought mine at Joann's years ago. Don't know if they still carry them as I haven't looked. I love mine and it really saves your fingers when closing pins.

I use chop sticks that have ridges at the very end....a gift from one of my teachers...sure keeps the fingers from getting sore.

I have one I got from Quilt in a Day a few years ago. I love it, especially having a touch of arthritis in my thumb. It also works good for opening the pins after.
